A significant impediment to reading proficiency among many early-stage learners stems from insufficient engagement with reciprocal reading pedagogy, thereby posing a substantial challenge within primary educational frameworks. A quasi-experimental methodology, incorporating a non-equivalent control group structure, was implemented, encompassing 60 participants allocated to an experimental cohort (n=30) exposed to the read-aloud strategy and a control cohort (n=30) engaged in solitary reading. Assessment data were aggregated via a 15-item objective test featuring multiple-choice responses, predicated upon the five comprehension indicators delineated by Burns and Roe. Subsequent statistical analysis was conducted utilizing an independent samples t-test. The findings revealed that the experimental cohort (M=69.33) exhibited statistically superior performance relative to the control cohort (M=55.53), yielding a t-statistic of t(58)=4.808 and a p-value less than 0.001. This outcome substantiates the efficacy of the read-aloud strategy in augmenting reading comprehension among third-grade pupils.
Alfina Diniyati, Fitri Hilmiyati, Juhji Juhji Copyright (c) 2026 Alfina Diniyati, Fitri Hilmiyati, Juhji Juhji https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://e-journal.staibanisaleh.ac.id/index.php/wildan/article/view/112 Sun, 30 Aug 2026 00:00:00 +0000 'Uqūbāt (Punishment) and Child Protection: Reconciling Hadith, Fiqh, and Modern Pedagogy https://e-journal.staibanisaleh.ac.id/index.php/wildan/article/view/142
This study aims to conceptualize the reconstruction of the boundaries of ‘uqūbāt (punishment) based on the framework of maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah within Islamic primary education institutions, serving as a resolution to the legal antinomy between the literalism of classical jurisprudence and child protection regulations in Indonesia (Law No. 35/2014). Utilizing a qualitative-descriptive library research design, this study employs a normative-Sharia legal approach alongside a comparative analysis across the four major schools of thought (Hanafi, Maliki, Syafi‘i, and Hanbali). A hermeneutical analysis of the disciplinary Hadith corpus confirms that the dispensation for physical action against ten-year-old children strictly functions as an educational instrument (ta’dīb) rather than a retributive measure (intiqām). Despite technical-quantitative differences among these madhhabs, an absolute consensus (ijmā‘) exists regarding the total prohibition of harmful striking (ḍarb mubriḥ) and any physical contact directed at the child's face, head, and vital organs. Furthermore, positioning the age of five as a pre-tamyīz baseline confirms that the developmental gradations in Islamic law are progressive and linear with the "five-to-seven year shift" phenomenon in modern developmental psychology. This study concludes that there is an urgent need to transform the operational boundaries of sanctions in Islamic elementary schools (SD/MI) toward a positive-restorative discipline paradigm—a framework that positions the principle of the best interest of the child (maṣlaḥah al-ṭifl) as the supreme legal maxim to satisfy the foundational tenets of protecting life (ḥifẓ al-nafs) and intellect (ḥifẓ al-‘aql). Practically, this study recommends the formulation of an applicable Student Discipline Code of Ethics for educators as an operational guideline to enforce child-friendly discipline while preventively mitigating the risk of teacher criminalization.
Muhamad Abdul Gofur Copyright (c) 2026 Muhamad Abdul Gofur https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://e-journal.staibanisaleh.ac.id/index.php/wildan/article/view/142 Sun, 30 Aug 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Implementasi Projek "Go Talent" dalam Meningkatkan Kreativitas Anak Usia 5–6 Tahun https://e-journal.staibanisaleh.ac.id/index.php/wildan/article/view/106
This study aims to describe the implementation of the “Go Talent” project in improving creativity among children aged 5–6 years at TK Aisyiyah 27 Depok. The study was motivated by conventional learning practices in which teachers dominated classroom activities, resulting in uniform assignments and limited opportunities for children to express original ideas. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method involving one principal, three teachers, and 28 children. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings revealed that the implementation of Project Based Learning through the “Go Talent” project provided opportunities for children to explore their interests and talents through activities such as drawing, dancing, singing, storytelling, and pencak silat. Children demonstrated increased creativity, originality, confidence, collaboration, and independence during the learning process. The involvement of inspiring alumni also enhanced children’s motivation and participation in learning activities. Therefore, the “Go Talent” project can be an effective innovation in developing creativity in early childhood education.
Eka Mayasari, Nur Hayati, Prayitno Prayitno Copyright (c) 2026 Eka Mayasari, Nur Hayati, Prayitno Prayitno https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://e-journal.staibanisaleh.ac.id/index.php/wildan/article/view/106 Sun, 30 Aug 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Model Digital Agential Morality sebagai Solusi Integratif Pendidikan Karakter Menghadapi Krisis Moral Generasi Muda https://e-journal.staibanisaleh.ac.id/index.php/wildan/article/view/127
This study aims to analyze the forms and causes of the moral crisis facing the younger generation in the digital era, evaluate existing strategies, and formulate an integrative solution model. This research uses qualitative, descriptive, and analytical methods through in-depth interviews, passive participant observation, and documentation studies using the Miles and Huberman data analysis model. The results indicate that moral degradation has mutated into the virtual space in the form of relational cybercrime, digital academic anomie, and hedonistic behavior due to algorithm manipulation and dysfunctional social control within families and schools. Character education holds a dual, urgent position as both a preventive and curative instrument. This study recommends a radical reconstruction of character-building methods through the implementation of the Digital Agential Morality (DAM) model, which organically synergizes the roles of schools, families, and communities based on digital ethical literacy.
Muhamad Rizka Saomi, N.
